Adam Barry is thrilled to be spending the Summer educating, inspiring, and spreading the power and magic of theater to the youth at Diablo Theater Company. While this is Adam’s first time working with DTC, he is certainly no stranger to Bay Area theater companies and stages, having begun his work in theater at Children’s Musical Theater of San Jose many years ago. Most recently, he reprised the role of Man 1 in the third incarnation of Becoming Britney with The Retro Dome in San Jose, which made it’s West Coast debut in Walnut Creek with CenterREP in 2010. An experienced local performer, other recent production credits include Gypsy (Tulsa) with Symphony Silicon Valley, The Secret Garden (The Fakir) with TheatreWorks, the regional premiere of Xanadu (Sonny Malone) with The Retro Dome, and RENT (Angel) with City Lights Theater Company. In addition to being an instructor with DTC, Adam is elated to simultaneously be rehearsing the role of Mike in A Chorus Line with Cabrillo Stage in Santa Cruz, while also singing with the recently-formed vocal trio Party of Three. He hopes that his love and passion for performing arts will create an unforgettable Summer for these young performers, and arm them with knowledge and experience they can take well into their artistic futures. Adam is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association.
